How do I clean my ST1 X/ ST2/ ST2 S?
Warning: Before starting any work on the Stromer, the battery must be removed from the battery compartment and the battery compartment closed, if possible. Avoid any contact with live parts. This could damage the electronics or cause injury to yourself.
Stromer cleaning:
Clean your Stromer with bike care product and water. To do so, it is best to use a damp sponge or a rag.
Take care during cleaning that no liquid gets into the battery or other electrical components. Do not clean your Stromer in a water bath or with a water spray jet. Water under pressure, in particular, can cause liquids and cleaning agents to get into sealed parts and plugs, resulting in damage.
The following care agents attack the components and cause wear or can even result in failure of the electronics:
- Solvent-based liquids
- Oily cleaning agents (except for chain and drive)
- Break cleaner (except for brake disks)
- Chain cleaner (except for chain)
Failure to observe the care instructions can result in damage to ball bearings, electronic components and plug connectors.
Battery cleaning:
It is best to use a dry cloth to clean the battery. Take care not to touch or short-circuit the battery contacts. This could damage the battery or result in injuries.
