Battery winter storage

Stromer Battery
20.11.2021

How to get your battery through the winter

Too cold for your commute? Then treat your battery to its winter sleep at the proper temperature – ideally between 10 and 25 °C. In any case, make sure that the permitted storage temperature range of –20 to +60 °C is maintained.

Your battery should spend the winter at a dry location where it is protected against direct sunlight, water and other liquids and is not in close proximity to other metal objects. Under no circumstances should you store several batteries stacked or next to each other.

lso make sure that your battery is not completely drained over the winter. To prevent deep discharge, check the charge level every four to eight weeks and maintain a constant level of 40 % to 60 % for the duration of the long-term storage.

Or just leave the battery connected to the power network: the floating charge of the CR 246 charger automatically keeps it in the optimal charging range between 65 % and 80 %.

And when you release it from the socket and connect it with your bike again with the first rays of sunshine come spring, you are immediately ready for your first spring tour in the coming year.
