Battery

  • For the 983Wh & 618Wh battery a new firmware (version 0.A.5 for 983Wh and 1.A.5 for 618Wh) is available. The firmware will be installed automatically if necessary after confirmation.

Components

  • Support for new components.
  • The software now recognizes whether an OMNI-B or OMNI-C is installed.

Connectivity

  • Improvements were made to the Bluetooth connection.
  • The pairing process between a Stromer with an OMNI-B and the Stromer BT App has been improved. Users of an android smartphone must update the Stromer BT app to the latest version.
  • The cellular communication was optimized.

Various improvements

With this update further errors have been fixed.

4.2.3.8

SUI FW 4.2.3.8

24.06.2020

Security

  • The input field for the PIN has been adapted for easier entry.
  • In case of unintentional/incorrect PIN input, the entry can be reset by pressing the "Main Button".

Charger

  • When the charger is connected to the Stromer, the status of the charging process is now shown on the display.

Battery

  • For the 814Wh & 983Wh battery there is the new firmware version 56. If necessary, it will be installed automatically on the battery.
  • Solves a problem where the charge level freezes while driving after charging.
  • When the "Eject" button is pressed, the light and motor support is switched off for 10 seconds. This is a safety measure to protect the electronic components if the battery is disconnected/removed prematurely (before the Stromer is switched off). It is still recommended to switch off the Stromer first before removing the battery.

Various optimizations

  • A new configuration has been added for bikes that are registered in Canada to make them compliant with the law (32Km/h and 500W). The change must be made by the dealer.
  • Some minor bugs have been fixed.

4.2.2.2

SUI FW 4.2.2.2

Compatibility

  • With this update new components are supported.

Various optimizations

  • Corrects an error that caused no charge status to be displayed when switching on.

4.2.2.1

SUI FW 4.2.2.1

Safety and Security

  • When the power is switched on, a check is made whether the 48V output can be deactivated. If the 48V output cannot be deactivated, the following error code is displayed.
    - E 210110
The battery should not be reused and should be returned to the dealer for inspection.
  • For the 814Wh & 983Wh battery there is the new firmware version 54. If necessary, it will be installed automatically on the battery. This firmware includes new protective mechanisms that permanently deactivate the battery in the event of a short circuit at the 48V output. If the battery has been deactivated, the following error messages appear on the OMNI.
    - E 210102
    - E 210109

The battery cannot be reused and must be returned to the dealer for inspection.

  • As of software version 4.2.1.10 on an OMNI B & C, a protection mode is activated if an overload is detected, which prevents the 48V output from switching on. The following error is displayed on the OMNI.
    - E 21000EThe deactivation is cancelled as soon as one of the following batteries is used
    - Battery with FW 54, 0.9.6 or 1.9.6The deactivation can be deactivated after a check by the dealer.

Battery

  • Corrects a problem that caused the battery not to be fully charged when OMNI was switched on.

4.2.1.8

SUI FW 4.2.1.8

21.October 2019

Security

  • Error code 0x21000D "Battery current too high". Restart the vehicle, if the error persists: Remove the battery and contact your Stromer dealer!
  • If a component connected to the 48V output fails, unexpected current and heat may be generated on that component. If this unexpected current is less than the battery cut-off limits, the 48V output of the battery is switched off by the OMNI and the charger is disconnected. The error code 0x21000D is also displayed.

Recuperation

  • For recuperation via the [-] button, a linear ramp was introduced for speeds from 2 to 10 km/h, so that this type of recuperation behaves similarly to the recuperation via the brake(s).
  • The right/rear brake now also has a stronger effect on recuperation, in case that both brakes are applied simultaneously.

Theft protection

  • Adjusted parameters in theft mode, to block the motor even when the battery is fully charged.
  • Horn as alarm system (switch on/off in the Menu -> Settings -> Alarm)

Various optimizations:

  • Error management has been enhanced
  • An error, which delayed the shutdown of the Stromer, has been fixed
  • The calibration of the TMM sensor has been adjusted. Slight fluctuations should now have less effect on the driving behavior
  • Software License Information in the “About”screen
  • The Bluetooth menu has been redesigned to make it easier to use
  • An error that prevented the bike to go into “lock mode” during charging has been fixed.
  • Added support for new components
  • Due to the missing mobile connection, the OMNI-B (only ST1 2019) cannot automatically adjust the time. There is a new setting in the Menu -> Settings -> Time -> Adjust.

  • A bug that caused the power supply not to lock during charging has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where the headlight did not work in ST1X theft mode.
  • Added support for new components.

  • If the PIN has been entered incorrectly three times, the input field is blocked for 1 minute
  • In the locked state, the motor already blocks at very slow speed

New Features:

  • It can be selected whether a dynamic remaining range should be displayed instead of the battery charge Level
  • If there is no GPS connection, the bike will be located via the GSM connection

Various Optimization

  • Improved installation of updates
  • When charging the battery, the charge level is transmitted to the app at regular intervals.
