The SMS is transmitted to your named contact via the cellular radio SIM card integrated into the bike. The use of the emergency number will not incur any additional costs.

2. Setting up and using the emergency feature

In order to use the emergency feature, you must store a valid cell phone number of a contact person in the Stromer OMNI app under Profile/My Omni account/Emergency contact. The cell phone number must contain the country code (e.g. +41 xx xxx xx xx).

myStromer will not check that the number provided is valid. It is your responsibility to update the number provided if it changes and to notify the owner of the number that you have entered their cell phone number in the Stromer app in case of emergency.

3. Storage and processing of personal data

In order to use the emergency feature, your personal details and the cell phone number of your named contact person must be stored and forwarded to telecommunications service providers in the event of a crash. Your location will be identified with the help of a GPS signal and, provided that a signal is available, communicated to the contact person.

myStromer will process these data in compliance with the data protection laws applicable in Switzerland and the EU, and with the Stromer data protection statement.

4. Disclaimer

The emergency feature is an automated channel in order to notify your designated contact person that a crash has been detected. A crash is detected with the help of the acceleration sensor if the bike gets into an atypical position after being in motion immediately beforehand (i.e. a speed was measured), regardless of the cause or severity of the incident. Other accidents, e.g. side-swipes, are not detected and do not trigger a message.

It is important for you to be aware that the emergency feature is only a help feature, and that the message triggered by it will only be sent to the cell phone number provided by you. myStromer is not able to view the automated messages or to intervene in any way.

We cannot rule out the possibility that crashes will not be detected as such in individual cases, e.g. due to damaged sensors, or that messages will not be triggered due to external circumstances, e.g. there is no cell phone connection or it is not working.

myStromer will not be in any way liable if no message is triggered in the event of a crash, if the report fails to reach the contact person and/or if an appropriate response fails to ensue.

5. Subject to change

We reserve the right to adapt the mode of operation of the myStromer emergency feature and/or the present regulation as and when required.

  • As soon as the Stromer BT App or the smartphone is connected to the OMNI Interface B, the connection status is shown in the information bar.

Battery

  • Sometimes the error code "210003" was displayed when the Stromer was switched on because the battery or the power supply was switched on with a delay. New, the error is cleared when the power supply was successfully switched on.
  • If an overvoltage is detected, then the recuperation is deactivated.

Charger

  • Sometimes, after removing the charger, the error code "210110" was displayed on the Stromer because the power supply was not below a specified threshold during the functionality check after 1 second. Now the error is only displayed after 4 seconds.
  • If the type of the connected charger cannot be identified, the type of the previously connected charger no longer applies. This prevents the wrong firmware from being downloaded for the charger.

Various optimizations

  • Now, the sensor value is monitored and tracked to ensure consistent support.
  • It is now detected whether pedaling is taking place during the ride.
  • If the PIN code is forgotten/lost on a Stromer with OMNI Interface C, the code can be reset by the specialist dealer after presentation of a vehicle ID or proof of purchase.
  • Due to a compatibility error, the error code "210009" was displayed in isolated cases on vehicles with a Supernova M99 Pro headlight. This error has been fixed.
  • Added support for the new ST3 Pinion model.
  • There is a firmware update "01-0104-0107" for the Blubrake ABS system. The firmware update will be installed automatically after confirmation if necessary.
  • Support for the Blubrake ABS Generation 2 has been added.

SUI FW 4.3.4.6

06.10.2021

Various optimisations

  • If a new QR code is requested under Menu/Bike/OMNI to connect a "Stromer OMNI user account", the OMNI interface first checks whether a user account is already connected to this Stromer. If a user account has already been connected, then a note is displayed instead of a QR code.
  • A firmware update (V. 01-0103-0105) is available for the Blubrake ABS system. The firmware update is installed automatically, if necessary, after confirmation.
  • With this update, optimizations have been made to the performance (for all Stromers older than 2018).

    - 814Wh V1.57, V3.57 or V5.3
    - 983Wh V2.57, V6.3 or V0.A.5
  • For batteries with firmware "0.A.5" or "1.A.5", the charging status should now be displayed less erratically.
  • For batteries with firmware version "1.57", "2.57", "3.57", "4.56", "5.3" or "6.3", the safety functions have been optimized.
  • Driving clearance is withdrawn if it is determined that the battery cannot be deactivated.

Connectivity

  • For Stromer ST1 (2019 or newer), which are equipped with an OMNI Interface C, the "SmartLock" function has been enabled.
  • The sensitivity range of the SmartLock function has been extended. This allows the range in which the Stromer is unlocked/locked when the paired device is in the vicinity to be set more precisely.

Various optimizations

  • The support dynamics of the individual support levels 1 to 3 were distributed more evenly.
    - Mode 1 is still very economical and corresponds to an ECO mode.
    - Mode 2 has been optimized (default setting) so that the assistance level is positioned midway between modes 1 & 3. The mode can be adjusted to personal needs via the Stromer OMNI app.
    - Mode 3 now provides slightly stronger support while maintaining the same sensor sensitivity.
  • Optimizations were made to the sensor dynamics for Stromer ST5 & ST3. These adjustments have reduced the amount of force needed until the motor assistance kicks in.
  • A QR code can now be displayed in Menu/Bike/OMNI (only with OMNI Interface C). This will make it possible in the future to link the Stromer with the account without having to visit the dealer (an update of the app is necessary, which will be released soon).
