• A new menu option under MENU > SYSTEM > FW UPDATE allows users to manually check for firmware updates and download them directly on the OMNI. If no mobile connection is available, updates can also be downloaded using the Bluetooth tethering option with a smartphone.
• When no connectivity is available, the time and timezone can now be set manually in MENU > SETTINGS > TIME. The time is automatically overwritten once connectivity returns.

Various optimizations

• The modem now restarts its network search more effectively after failed connection attempts. This helps prevent the bike from remaining stuck on a weak network.

Pinion Smart.Shift

• New firmware «V 1.12.1» for Pinion Smart.Shift. If necessary, the firmware update will be installed after confirmation
• Error text descriptions improvements
• The "Pre.Select" mode is introduced as a semi-automatic shifting mode. In this mode, the system automatically shifts to the gear appropriate for the speed when coasting without pedaling, ensuring the right gear is active when restarting pedaling. The desired cadence can be individually adjusted. Additionally, the configured start gear from "Start.Select" is taken into account. Manual shifting remains possible at any time. Can be activated in «MENU->BIKE->SMART.SHIFT->PRE.SELECT»
• When not on the main driving screen, the current gear will be shown for a short period of time instead of the battery indicator when shifting

OMNI B

• A Bluetooth Firmware Update via the OMNI BT app can now be resumed in «MENU->SYSTEM->BT UPDATE» without needing to restart the process via the OMNI BT app
• Includes general bug fixes and improvements to the firmware update process via the OMNI BT app
• Resolved an issue that prevented the iOS OMNI BT app from functioning correctly

New features

• Bikes with Pinion Smart.Shift (ST5 Pinion and ST7) now automatically shift to the highest gear when the theft mode is activated to make it more difficult to drive away without authorisation
• The legacy SmartLock (locking and unlocking via standard Bluetooth) is replaced by the new BLE version in conjunction with the Stromer OMNI app. Users who are currently still using the older version will be notified accordingly. The Stromer OMNI app must be reconnected via the ‘MENU/BLUETOOTH/OMNI APP’ function on the Stromer. SmartLock via Bluetooth BLE only works if the Stromer OMNI app is at least running in the background. The function is not active when the app is completely closed

System

• System update: The system software has been updated to further improve stability, security and compatibility

• Improved handling in Sport mode: Sport mode has been optimised to enable a more dynamic and agile driving style
• Stronger recuperation when both brake levers are actuated. This means that recuperation can be controlled even better
• The maximum recuperation current of the BQ1440 battery has been increased. This increases the braking effect during recuperation
• Battery temperature monitoring in standby: The temperature of the battery and motor is now read out regularly in standby so that the values in the Stromer OMNI app are always up to date
• There is a firmware update (1.002) for the Stromer sound module (ST5 Pinion). If necessary, the firmware update is installed automatically after confirmation
• The permitted motor temperature in sport mode has been increased slightly so that it can be used for longer
• Optimised location determination: Localisation is now carried out using additional satellite systems to improve the precision of location determination in certain cases
• A bug that led to a ‘white screen’ (completely white display) has been fixed
• A bug that caused the bike to stop assisting if the TMM sensor value was slightly too low, has been fixed
• The motor tuning setting ‘Agility’ for mode 2 did not work as intended - this problem has been fixed
• The horn button and Pinion Smart.Shift buttons (ST5 Pinion and ST7) are now correctly deactivated when locked (the theft alarm still works)

Cruise Control

• Cruise Control is available as a new downhill assistant with adjustable target speed

Wake up from standby

• Increased sensitivity of the acceleration sensor. Shocks and movements lead to a faster wake-up of the vehicle and thus to a more effective anti-theft protection in standby
• Unlocking the bike via the OMNI app now leads to the vehicle waking up, even if it was not locked before
• Connecting the charger to the bike will wake it up

Firmware Update via OMNI BT App

• Concerns the installation of firmware updates on Stromer OMNI B with OMNI BT app
