I have taken my Stromer e-bike from Switzerland to the EU – where can I obtain CoC papers?
Stromer E-Bike: CoC papers for EU and Germany Stromer Bikes produced for the Swiss market do not have a CoC (Certificate of Conformity), but instead are delivered directly with a vehicle registration document. CoC papers for Germany and the EU can only be issued if the bike complies with the EU standard: A German Stromer dealer may have to retrofit the bike accordingly – for example by fitting reflectors in the spokes. They must then confirm this to our sales department so that a CoC can be issued. Alternatively, you can use the customs documents and the Swiss vehicle registration document to arrange for an inspection by TÜV in order to obtain a German registration. However, requirements may vary by state.
