Potential risk of suspension fork failure in Stromer ST3, ST5 and ST7 models
Your driving safety is our top priority at all times. With this notification, we would like to inform you about a possible safety risk.
Stromer is voluntarily recalling about 6.500 front suspension forks of the brand “WREN”, which were installed on its ST3, ST5 and ST7 Speed-Pedelecs. The suspension fork steerer tube can fatigue prematurely and crack, break or separate during use and, as a result, the rider may lose control of his bike, posing fall and injury hazard.
Stromer has received 15 reports of suspension fork steerer tubes failures, with eight associated customer injuries.
AFFECTED BIKES
The front suspension forks have been installed on about 6.500 ST3, ST5 and ST7 Stromers and mainly sold in Europe and the US. Affected customers will be notified by Stromer directly and asked to verify whether a WREN front suspension fork has been installed on their bikes.
IMMEDIATE STOP OF USE
For safety reasons, do not use your Stromer until the WREN suspension fork has been replaced. A suspension fork failure may lead to loss of control and injury.
REPAIR ACTION
Replacement parts are currently in production and we will notify you once the remedy is available. Stromer expects to send a notification by the start of 2026 for a free-of-charge suspension fork steerer tube repair at an authorized Stromer dealer.
Please contact safety@stromerbike.com for any customer inquiries regarding this recall. Stromer sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks all customers for their cooperation and understanding.
